We welcome all swimmers age 6-high school to join our Shark team! We are also welcoming any young or inexperienced swimmers age 5 and up to join our Little Minnows program. Our only requirement for the Little Minnows is that the child be comfortable in the water and be able to keep their head above water without assistance. There may be exceptions made on allowing swimmers as young as 4 to participate in Little Minnows as long as they are strong in the water. Evaluations are held in June each year. Our Little Minnows program is not intended to be group swim lessons, but to get the young swimmers to the point they can participate in a swim meet by the end of the season. If you are interested in swim lessons only, the club lifeguards offer private lessons.
The team is coached by Lauren Moore and Logan Lehosit. Meet schedules will be given out at registration and posted on this website. Practices will begin after school towards the end of May each year. Once school is out, the older kids will begin at 9:00am and the younger ones (including Little Minnows) at 10:00am. Meets are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting the second week in June.
Every 2-3 years is a new swimsuit year. However, if your swimmer outgrew their suit from last year, or you are registering a new swimmer, we will have the suits available at registration. We will offer new BCC personalized caps. Checks for registration and any purchased gear can be made to BCC Swim Team.
